Engagement Approach
I partner with families who are participating in the Wraparound process. My primary role is to help them navigate complex systems with confidence and to ensure that the voices of the youth and their family are heard and prioritized within Wraparound. Families and youth are the reason Wraparound exists. I work to ensure that the heart of Wraparound is for them and that they learn to identify, trust and utilize their own unique strengths.
Areas of experience and interest
As the parent of 11 children with a wide variety of special needs, I have first-hand experience working with county and state programs, private and public health insurance, specialized educational needs (504/IEP) and a broad network of connections providing parent support 1:1 and in group settings. I have particular ties to the areas of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), adoption, trauma, divorce, multi-ethnic parenting, and LGQBT+ issues.
